One of the leading pharmaceutical companies in Italy, Angelini Pharma, has gifted Università degli Studi dell’Aquila with a donation of great value: a number of scientific instruments and technical equipment straight from their laboratories.
The donation included optical microscopes, spectrophotometers, laminar fumehoods, gloveboxe and several other automatized systems for chemistry and microbiology.
This donation not only enforces the existing relationship between Università degli Studi dell’Aquila and Angelini Pharma, but it represents an ideal precedent for the relationship between academia and industry in general. Too often these two realities do not communicate and cooperation is limited to rare circumstances.
Therefore, we are grateful to Angelini Pharma not only for the donation itself, which will be of invaluable help to our researchers and the next generation of scientists that we are helping to grow, but also for reminding us that cooperation is the key to a successful and functional research.
Thanks, in particular, to CEO Pierluigi Antonelli, Dr. Guido Furlotti and Dr. Lorella Ragni for the role they played in this concrete act of support. May it set a precedent for others!
